Authorities Costa Rica Seize 60 Kilos of Cocaine in Container Shipment

Thanks to the use of scanners, authorities detected drugs in the refrigeration area of a shipping container. Following this discovery, police agents conducted a thorough inspection of the entire cargo, which tested negative for drugs. The narcotics were only found in the designated area of the container.

Manuel Jiménez Steller, the Deputy Minister of Public Security, reported that the seizure involved 60 kilograms of cocaine. The drugs were discovered on a Friday in a container loaded with fresh fruit destined for Belgium. This latest confiscation highlights how criminal organizations are adapting their methods. They are now attempting to send smaller quantities of drugs in response to changes in law enforcement tactics.

This incident underscores the ongoing challenges authorities face in combating drug trafficking. The innovative strategies employed by these organizations illustrate the need for continuous advancements in detection technology and law enforcement approaches.
