The Federal Highway Police (PRF) recently made a significant drug discovery in Umuarama, Brazil. On October 24, they seized 438 kilograms of cocaine hidden in a truck. The police had received tips suggesting illegal activity, which led them to stop the vehicle for inspection.
Upon searching the truck, officers noticed several signs that raised their suspicions. They decided to unload the legal cargo of grains and found a hidden compartment containing the cocaine. The truck’s driver, a 42-year-old man, was arrested at the scene.

Interestingly, another truck with similar features was stopped nearby. While there were indicators that the second driver might be involved, no drugs were found in that vehicle.
The arrested driver admitted he was paid to transport the cocaine from Ponta Porã to Videira. The amount of drugs discovered is quite rare and valued highly on the illegal market.
The police also had assistance from a canine unit, which helped confirm the presence of the drugs. Both the cocaine and the vehicles have been handed over to the Federal Police in Guaíra for further investigation.
